There will be time

There will be time, there will be time
To prepare a face to meet the faces that you meet;
There will be time to murder and create,
And time for all the works and days of hands
That lift and drop a question on your plate;
Time for you and time for me,
And time yet for a hundred indecisions,
And for a hundred visions and revisions,
Before the taking of a toast and tea.

Frozen moments

Do I dare
Disturb the universe?
In a minute there is time
For decisions and revisions which a minute will reverse.
For I have known them all already, known them all:—
Have known the evenings, mornings, afternoons,
I have measured out my life with coffee spoons;

And would it have been worth it, after all,
After the cups, the marmalade, the tea,
Among the porcelain, among some talk of you and me,
Would it have been worth while,
To have bitten off the matter with a smile,
To have squeezed the universe into a ball
To roll it toward some overwhelming question

Kyun

Hum raah mein chupchaap khade ho to gae hain
Kis-kis ko bataeinge ki ghar kyun nahin jaate

Sometimes

Sometimes I stand at the edge of feelings
A part of me lost to the moment
While the rest ring at reason, but I move all the same
Spiraling towards them, like a firefly to a flame.
Destiny looming like a monsoon cloud, waiting to burst,
Looking down at my vulnerability
A silent dancer, dancing away
Moving through opaque lifetimes
Flowing through various incarnations

Often I stop mid way to you.
Adjusting emotions as appropriate
Sometimes I stand at a lonely distance
From you, and them.
Refuge under a patch of raincloud,
To pull back the silence, to move on to light,
My sole contact- the tiny fingers of innocence
Begging me to scoop her up in my arms.

Matters of Art

Got back to my paintings after months -- the Dan painting I call 'You' hasn't dried yet again - it will thus probably dry up for the next stage when Manya gets married - as predicted by Rushil - the dormant genius in a nerd disguise who lives right under this comp. The othr one with a golden sunset looks more like the sky out of a comic strip, and Danish completely approves of it. Shows his great taste for art and things beautiful(again). So, essentially, I have reached the creative block - before even starting out my art life. Great for starters. So, I decided to wield the camera instead of the brush today .. the Chandigarh skies are beauuuutiful!
